I’ve read an article on The Boston Globe. It was about a proposal which closing car traffic in Storrow Drive on Sundays mornings for a while.
It was proposed by a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) which called Charles River Consevancy. According to them, United States was in trouble with fighting obesity. So, it would be a good opportunity for some people who wants to do excercise on open air.
Additionally, closure of the coast of the Charles River would be a good opportunity for bicycling, walking, skating, etc.
The proposal was about just west side of the river and just for a five-mile stretch of Storrow Drive. Also it was proposed that just on Sunday mornings would close, and just for April to November.
I think their proposal would be nice some BU student who lives near Charles River.
What do you think?
